While not a breaking off innovation, this new generation of fouling release in aqueous phase treatment is one of the top last antifouling paintings.
It can be used on all sea boats or river boats.
Its main benefit is its innocuousness. It is a biocide-free and toxic solvent-free, therefore not hazardous for the aquatic environment and the human health.
The objective is to repel sea life without killing it.
Seawax® Fouling Release it's a "mechanical" antifouling coating with non-adhering and self-cleaning propertives under propelling way.

Seawax® Fouling Release is mostly recommended for using on boat hulls : weight and water resistance, hydrodynamic trail are therefore reduced. Full consumption is also reduced and the hull requires less cleaning.
Its ingredients prevent and/or delay the fixation of microorganisms such as algaes, shells or shellfish and/or make it very unstable.
It brings its contribution to the preservation of sea life.
Also, there is a « self cleaning » effect when the boat sails, a water pressure is applied to the hull, all organisms then come off the substrate.

Seawax® Fouling Release is an alternative solution compared to actual paints, also innovative with obvious benefits for applicators.

Its technical features offer very easy to apply conditions and short drying time.

Application
..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................

For the first treatment, apply three layers of Seawax® Fouling Release onto steel, aluminium, wood, iron, polyester (except polypropylene and polyethylene) boat hulls (under works). It is efficient on soft and rigid PVC beacon or mooring buoys, once first applying Seawax® ETCH Primer.

For further treatment, apply two layers. Prior to any treatment, all substrates must be clean, dry and homogeneous.

It can be used onto hard matrix or onto erodable or semi-erodable matrix existing paints or covered with an anticorrosion treatment.

It’s compulsory to apply first etch primer Seawax® Etch Primer.

Because there is no metallic particle in the ingredients, Seawax® Fouling Release doesn’t generate any electrolysis. It is compatible with aluminium hulls.
The coating offers very easy to apply conditions and short drying time.

  • Clean tools using tap water.
  • Storage and transportation by sea or by plane (non-flammable product)

Coating duration :
Seawax® Fouling Release must be renewed every year.
